Assistant Mechanic Job Description:
Assists mechanics to: detect and diagnose faults in engines and parts.
Must be able to work on Petrol and Diesel engines
Repair and service heavy equipment (ex. Forklift, bobcat, etc)
Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and check parts.
Repair and replace worn and defective parts and reassemble mechanical components, and refer to service manuals as needed.
Perform scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations.
Reassemble engines and parts after being repaired.
Test and adjust mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance, diagnose and test parts with the assistance of computers.
Required Skill Set:
Speak and read English and Arabic
Minimum 5 year experience
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Computer skills, be able to use a computer to upload data
Good with time management and works well under pressure
Has good network with garages and spare parts shops to help locate and facilitate all company needs in regards to all mechanical related issues and needs
Good teamwork skills, be able to work with other mechanics
